2013 - A YEAR OF REFLECTION

So much has happened over this past year.  It's been 30 years since I graduated high school and since I met some of the most important friends of my life in college.  I have truly been put to the test as some of the past has met with the present to challenge my mind, my emotions, my values, and my identity.

Went to my 30 year high school reunion.  Very interesting and enjoyable.  Got to see some classmates I had not seen since high school.

That is all for now.

2012 - A SNAPSHOT

My son is in college, trying to figure out what he wants to major in and learning about life.  He got his first job this year and is learning the value of earning a living, gaining responsibility, and setting an example.

Our dogs that were a part of our family for over 10 years have both passed away.  We now have two new dogs - Zoe, a Shih-Tzu/Jack Russell Terrier mix; and Missy, a poodle.  Both are very sweet and VERY spoiled!  :-)

I started going to a new team of doctors in the Summer, a holistic/naturopath/medical team.  These folks told me more in one visit than all the conventional specialists I went to in the past 10 years.  I went gluten-free in September and dropped 20 pounds in 3 months!  Many of my health issues have become more manageable thanks to the supplements, IV chelation and dietary programs these doctors have put me on.  I also started taking LDN for one of my issues.  I firmly believe this is one low does prescription that truly does benefit persons with chronic illness.  Otherwise, I no longer support many of the pharmaceuticals in general as opposed to natural nutrition and herbal remedies for most health conditions.  There are always exceptions to the rule.

Reconnected with an old college friend after almost 30 years - one of the most interesting events of my life to say the least.  The past meets the present - very strange yet exciting at the same time.

CHRIS GOES ON TOUR WITH ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT

January 8, 2011

As a veteran of the travel industry with a real passion for music, I wanted to take this opportunity to share some highlights of a family member's big adventure "Down Under." My nephew, Chris Kittredge is currently touring with the popular alternative hip-hop band, Arrested Development  in Australia and took some time out to share these awesome photos from Sydney. Chris began drumming with his church band in his teen years and loved it so much he decided to study music in college to pursue a career in music full time. In recent weeks, a guitarist for the band saw some of Chris's video clips online and called him up for an audition to accompany the band on their upcoming tour. And as they say, "the rest is history!"

Chris and the band left Atlanta on Christmas Day to begin their tour in Queensland, Australia - arriving just as the flood waters were beginning to surround the area.  Thankfully, the band made it safely to their first gig and performed to a lively crowd in spite of the rains and continued on to their next stop under clearer skies. Some recent stops have included Coolangatta, Melbourne, Vic, Perth, and here are some photos from Sydney.  Playing to a crowd of 50,000+ last night, Chris is having the time of his life!

After seeing images of this beautiful place, I will definitely be making plans to visit Australia myself in the near future! Wish I were there now cheering on Chris... I guess music is just in my blood... Actually, it runs pretty deep in this family.

Sydney Slide Show

And here is a music video clip of the band performing their hit, "People Everyday" to view in your spare time. :-) It starts a little shaky but gets better.

Happy New Year!
